1 lb extra lean ground turkey (you can use whatever meat you wish but I use the 99% lean ground turkey
3/4 wheat bread crumbs 1/3 cup skim milk 3/4 cup minced onions I use fresh not seasoning ones 2 egg whites
soak the bread crumbs with the milk while mincing onions
put all togeather and mix up like you are making a meatloaf.
Shape into balls
Cook in a skillet with some I can't believe it's butter non fat spray and I also use a little at a time fat free chicken broth so they don't burn. just enough to keep the pan moist. Cook them until browned on all sides. Remove and set aside.
In the same pan whish 3 tbs of wheat flour with One cup of hot water. Add 1 cup of fat free half and half or I use skim milk and it works well. Add two beef bullion cubes. Keep whisking while it thickens.
Add the turkey balls back to pan and cover and simmer until done. You will need to watch them to make sure they don't burn. Add little amounts of broth if you need to.
Very yummy and I serve over brown rice with a veggie or salad
